The annual festivities are in full swing in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4, celebrating the game’s eighth birthday! The limited-time Birthday Bash event is live, bringing a fresh set of challenges, exclusive cosmetic rewards, and most importantly for all XP hunters, the return of the coveted Birthday Cakes. These massive, purple-and-blue celebratory treats are key to completing the anniversary quests and earning a significant haul of Battle Pass XP. Finding these high-value locations is crucial for players looking to maximize their seasonal progression and snag the free event items.
Why Hunt for Birthday Cakes in Chapter 6 Season 4?
The Birthday Cakes are tied directly to several of the limited-time Fortnite Birthday Quests, which must be completed before the event ends on September 30th, 2025 (Note: Always check the in-game countdown for the most accurate end date). These quests include:
- Dance by a Birthday Cake found at Named Locations.
- Eat slices of Birthday Cake found at Named Locations (Consume 8 slices total).
Completing these tasks is not only your ticket to substantial XP but also unlocks exclusive event items like the Slurpfinity Cake Back Bling and other themed cosmetics. The cake slices are also a fantastic, easily accessible source of Health and Shield restoration mid-match, providing +10 to each stat when consumed—a critical advantage in early-game skirmishes.
Confirmed Birthday Cake Locations on the C6 S4 Map
For the eighth anniversary, Epic Games has scattered approximately ten large Birthday Cakes across the island. While the locations can vary slightly each year, the pattern is to place them primarily within or immediately adjacent to Named Locations (POIs). Landing at these spots can be high-risk, high-reward due to the concentration of players looking to complete the same quests. We have tracked down the specific, high-traffic locations for Chapter 6, Season 4:
Primary POI Cake Locations:
- Supernova Academy: Look near the main central building or one of the large courtyards. This is often a hot-drop due to the cake’s easy visibility.
- O.X.R. HQ: Check around the barracks or the central battle ops hub. The cake is frequently placed in an open area near the main command center.
- The Hive: Given the infested nature of this POI, the cake is typically located at the less-bug-infested edge, perhaps near a perimeter road or entrance.
- Ranger’s Ruin: Search the remnants of the old weapons lab. The cake might be positioned near the central ruins or the edge of the newly-formed biome.
Landmark and Unnamed Location Cakes (Lower CPC/Risk):
For players seeking a safer drop to complete the ‘Eat slices’ challenge over multiple matches, these less-trafficked landmarks are ideal. Note that you must have less than full Health or Shields (200 combined) to consume the slices.
- West of First Order Base: Inside or right next to a small Smash N’ Grab Jewelry Store east of Supernova Academy. This is a key spot for those avoiding the main POI chaos.
- Gas Station South of The Hive: A cake can be found near the northwest side of a BURD gas station, offering an immediate health boost after landing.
- Foxy Floodgate: Locate the cake toward the northern edge of this landmark. It’s a relatively low-key spot for a quick dance.
- Outlaw Oasis: The cake is positioned at the very northern perimeter, often surrounded by the characteristic red lounge chairs.
- Canyon Crossing: Head towards the southern section of this landmark to find the celebratory setup.
- Demon’s Debris: Look around the southwestern edge of this area. Given the proximity to the Demon’s Domain Queen boss, this is a slightly higher-risk non-POI drop.
- North of Kappa Kappa Factory: Find the cake setup right in the middle of the tennis courts, situated slightly north of the factory and south of Shining Span.
Pro-Tip for Quest Completion: Since you need to consume 8 slices in total and each cake only has 8 slices, you can complete the entire ‘Eat slices’ quest by visiting a single, unchallenged cake. However, since the slices heal you, you may need to take some minor fall damage or wait for a small skirmish to drop your health/shields below 200 before you can consume them all. If other players have already eaten some, you will need to rotate to another location in the same or a subsequent match. Focus on the quieter Landmark locations for the best chance at all 8 slices.
Maximizing Your XP and Cosmetic Haul
The annual Birthday Event is one of the most generous periods for XP gains outside of the regular weekly challenges. Each completed quest typically rewards 5,000 XP, and with multiple birthday quests available, the total potential XP is substantial. This is a prime opportunity to complete your Chapter 6 Season 4 Battle Pass early and begin unlocking the exclusive Power Rangers and Halo crossover cosmetics, as well as the coveted Mythic and Exotic weaponry introduced with the Shock ‘N Awesome season’s O.X.R. faction mechanics.
Don’t Forget the Bus Driver! One of the easiest birthday quests is to “Wish the Bus Driver a happy birthday.” Simply press your ‘Thank the Bus Driver’ button (default is ‘B’ on PC, Down on D-Pad on console) before jumping from the Battle Bus to instantly claim a quick XP boost and one of the prerequisite milestones for the free cosmetics.
The Anniversary event is a temporary boost to the already explosive action of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4: Shock ‘N Awesome. Prioritize these cake hunts now to secure your free rewards, maximize your XP, and enjoy the Birthday Bash before the confetti clears and the challenges vault for another year.
Disclaimer: This guide is based on the initial launch of the Fortnite 8th Birthday Event in Chapter 6 Season 4. Epic Games may release hotfixes or make minor adjustments to cake locations during the limited-time event. Always look for the prominent purple and blue cake and the surrounding balloons/slices to confirm a location.
